Mr. Simon is an Executive Vice President of WSP Environment & Energy, an environmental consulting firm whose US headquarters are located in Reston, Virginia. WSP Environment & Energy is a global consulting firm, headquartered in London, with operations in 25 countries.
Mr. Simon specializes in the investigation, remediation, and risk and liability management related to hazardous sites. He directs the due diligence assessment, investigation, and remediation at over 100 sites each year. Mr. Simon also has expertise with the technical aspects of environmental insurance and provides technical support to various insurers. He focuses in a related area, the transfer of environmental liabilities.
Mr. Simon has authored or coauthored over 50 technical articles, columns, and book chapters. In addition to working for WSP, he is the Editor-in-Chief of the Remediation Journal, a John Wiley & Sons publication. Mr. Simon is also an active member of the US Sustainable Remediation Forum and assisted in the publication of the SURF White Paper on Sustainable Remediation, which was published in the Remediation Journal in June 2009.
Mr. Simon received a B.E. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering and Science from Stanford University in Stanford, California.
