For Questioners

1. What do I get when I start a GuruStorm?

You get an online brainstorming session with the experts and authorities in the area you need help in. It's more than just a Q&A session. Once you post your question, you'll have a real dialogue with these experts, including ideas, comments, and simple up-and-down voting that lasts at least 10 days.

Our Gurus are thoroughly vetted to ensure that they have a significant body of work, and have received numerous accolades for their endeavors. We truly bring you together with the world's experts to help answer your questions.

And you are guaranteed to get at least 10 responses from our Gurus in those 10 days. We make sure the brainstorm stays open and the Gurus continue to respond until that happens.

2. How much does a GuruStorm cost?

There are three fees for setting up a GuruStorm. The first is the reward that is being offered for the Gurus, and that ranges from $1000 to $5000. There is also a 10% surcharge on that reward to cover processing and administrative costs, and a $295 listing fee.

3. How long does a GuruStorm last?

GuruStorms are guaranteed to last for at least 10 days. If ten expert ideas have not been offered by the end of that period, the brainstorm is extended until that has occurred.

4. What happens at the start of the brainstorming period?

An email alert goes out to all of the Gurus you selected to help with your brainstorm. This tells them about your question and the reward for great answers, and provides a link to your private brainstorming page so the process can begin.

5. What happens during brainstorming?

The Gurus come and suggest great ideas. They can also leave comments on other Guru's ideas, and do simple up-and-down voting to help express their opinions on the ideas that have been suggested.

6. What happens at the end of the brainstorm?

The questioner selects the top 3 Gurus who povided the best responses, and the GuruStorms administrator closes the brainstorm. These Gurus are each rewarded with 40%, 20%, and 10% of the reward for their great ideas, respectively.

7. Is my GuruStorm private?

Your GuruStorm is completely private. It can only be viewed by you, the Gurus you invite, and the GuruStorms administrators.

8. Who owns the ideas that are suggested?

In order to fulfill the purpose of the site, ideas are granted for use to GuruStorms.com and the GuruStorms.com community, in this case the Gurus that have participated in a brainstorm. The full details can be found in our Terms and Conditions.

For Gurus

4. What are my responsibilities as a Guru?

5. How do I earn rewards?

There are two ways to earn rewards on the site. The first is to provide early responses to questions. The first 10 Gurus to respond to a new brainstorm will earn a 3% share of the total reward automatically. This ranges from $30 to $150.

The other way is to be selected by the questioner as one of the top 3 Gurus who provided the best ideas. These Gurus receive 40%, 20%, and 10% of the reward respectively.

6. How do I get my reward?

Once a user selects the top 3 Gurus for their GuruStorm, the Gurus will receive an email alert notifying them of their rewards. Rewards are paid via PayPal, our exclusive payment provider. Depending on the disbursement method you select on PayPal, it can take several extra days to finalize the transfer of your rewards to your selected account.

7. How long does it take to receive payments?

Payment are made with 30 days of the brainstorm closing.
